Well, I feel that I’ve been talking about them (dead business people)  for quite some time now, and I may be being too hard on them— but I don’t give a care. People need to know they can’t harm us. It is a common knowledge amongst business people that experiences count a lot for one to learn the ins and outs of a business. However, there are some experiences which cause us endless worries; when in fact they don’t have control over us at all.

This is exactly what happened in the Poltergeist movie— people got scared with ghosts who can’t really hurt them physically, and don’t even have the ability to manifest themselves in a real physical presence. Absurd as it may sound, I feel that even grown up people still allow ghosts to haunt them in their sleep. In a business context, this is what happens when you feel scared over things that don’t directly affect you; like the experience of a colleague who once failed in his business venture.

My mom used to say that birds of a feather flock together. This is so true. Therefore, be careful where you are flocking. Why? Simple, you cannot choose what you hear, but you can always choose whom you listen to. Small Businesses who succeeded are numerous, their owners and entrepreneurs are everywhere. Seek out the living and not the dead! Make sure to hang out with the successful flock so you get to listen to constructive talks and not to ghost stories which may just end up eventually haunting you.

Remember that we are part of the living; let those dead people stay in their graves! Be in a platitude that keeps you moving forward— because in the end your attitude will determine your altitude. Listen to what’s worth listening and continue moving up the business ladder.
