The Smartest Guy in the Room? My Interview with David Bullock

Wow, I was in a lonely parking deck, the city, New Orleans. While New Orleans is still standing, it is far from what it once was. The spirit is willing and the place is making great strides to recover from that Katrina b*tch.  We had just finished the first day at the PeSA conference 2008 in NO and my car was parked in a deck down the block and across the street. I had to record some videos earlier that day with products (some of the wares I sell from 3rd Power Outlet) and I had some pretty heavy baggage.

As I walked up to the parking garage, it amazed me how quiet and almost lonely the streets of downtown New Orleans are near the convention center. Sure the traffic was whizzing by, but there really was not much foot traffic, no one really around. I approached the counter in the parking deck and walked to the cashier. And then another person (David Bullock) got in line behind me.

What was odd is that I did not see him come in, nor did I directly recognize his presence in line behind me. As I was talking to the parking agent, she presented the bill, I think it was $5.00, then she said the dreaded words “CASH ONLY”. My heart sank, because I hardly ever carry cash and I had spent my last few dollar on food at the event. I knew that I was going to have to lug all that crap back over to the ONLY active building in the area the Convention Center, just to find an ATM.

It is New Orleans hot and humid and I am not looking forward to the trek. I lamely try to appeal to the parking attendant to reconsider my credit card. Hey, its a black card? I will bring you 5 back tomorrow, we both laughed jokingly as I prepared myself to go back the center. Then the guy behind me jumps up and says “I got it man.” Wait did he just say? WTF? HUH? Are you serious?

David says, yeah, no problem bro, I got it for you. I turned to see this young man in a suit and tie….now if you know me, you know that suit and tie means…”Can’t truss it”, yep that is the old Public Enemy song, that always plays in my head when I see a dude in a suit and tie, LMAO.

So this guy whom I have never met, was just standing in line and did a good citizen deed from the heart. I was ever so  grateful to him and thanked him profusely as we walked to our cars and he waved it off like, “dude don’t worry, no problem, glad to help.”

From this chance meeting, I met the genius mind that is David Bullock. It is with that same giving, helpful spirit, “the good Samaritan in the parking lot”, that David brings to his clients and customers. He is open and willing to “help a brother out” that really makes David a rarity in the dog eat dog world out there.

David Bullock is truly on of the sharpest knives in the draw. And for me, there is that old saying.

“Steel sharpens steel as iron sharpens iron, so shall one man sharpens another – Prov 27:17

So anytime I get to chat with Mr. Bullock I leave the conversation sharper than when it started.

You do NOT want to miss this killer interview here with David Bullock The dude is so “money” baby, hell yeah!
