Thanks for the vid, John, hoping to see some more stuff from StomperNET since your tweets were so exciting over the weekend.
Question, or more accurately, you opinion – do you think it’s worthwhile to take the extra steps to optimize web sites for mobile phones; or do you think we’re moving so fast that the phones, or more likely the almighty Google, are just going to wind up making everything fit to the phones?
I’m feeling like it’s probably the latter choice and that we won’t have to do too much. Thoughts?

No, I would not “optimize” websites for phones. I would optimize some CONTENT for phones, if you have the bandwidth in staff time to do it.
People are not reading blog sites on the cell phone, they may get it served there via a FEED or a Feed reader, so you should already be good.
I am not a fan of building things in house when you can simply use better built stuff out there. Facebook and Twitter are already optimized to deliver content to the cell phones. Just make sure your blog has feeds to those sites.
That is my 2 cents and thanks for asking!
